This has been on heck of a year!
This year we assisted Louisiana rescues during the hurricanes. They got hammered with one hurricane after another! We provided temporary boarding, transport and assistance in getting dogs to other rescues and new homes. We provided a stopover at our cottages at Haven Mia Bella for transporters to rest during their long journey. From Louisiana To Maine is a very long trip. They were able to stay over, get some rest and have one of our transporters continue the journey.
We rescued, fostered and adopted a dozen pets. Additionally, we provided medical care for pets in rescue.
We helped many single parents of domestic violence with food, shelter and clothes for their families. Our Thanksgiving and Christmas food programs helped so many.
Have Mia Bella works closely with local churches to provide safe haven and help with pets during emergencies. No doubt with Covid it’s been a very busy year.
